I’m sure you have seen the gory images of the blackened lungs of a smoker after death. You might imagine that this is because the person had died. But the fact is when a smoker is alive their lungs are already blackened.

Imagine this: you light up a cigarette and draw deeply. The toxin filled smoke glides down your throat and into your lungs. This smoke is grey. The smoke meets the surface of your lungs and enters the tiny structures that allow the exchange of air into your blood stream. Your lungs filled with smoke, but only 10% of that smoke will be released back into the air, the rest will remain within your body!
